Job summary

Bodycote in Ipswich, MA is seeking a Heat Treater to perform essential heat treatment tasks under the Production Manager. You will ensure customer specifications are met and assist teammates as needed, contributing to a safe and efficient shop floor.

The role requires a high school diploma, knowledge of metallurgy, and the ability to work 40+ hours per week in a safety-sensitive environment. Forklift certification may be needed.

Qualifications

• Must satisfy ITAR compliance requirements; US Citizens or Permanent Residents.
• Education – High school diploma or equivalent.
• Must have working knowledge of metallurgy and temperatures.
• May be required to work overtime or any shift, including weekends.
• Must have the ability to obtain and maintain forklift operation certification.
• Must demonstrate the ability to read, write and communicate in English.

Responsibilities

• Assist with operations, control and monitoring of heat treating and related equipment as required by procedures.
• Load and unload furnaces, bins, fixtures, baskets, etc.
• Report any unusual problem or irregularity to supervisor.
• Promote safety and good housekeeping.
• Perform other duties as assigned or dictated by position.
• Care for customer inventory and handle it safely to prevent loss or damage.
