Job summary

Bodycote in South Windsor, CT is seeking a Heat Treating Technician (C‑A level) to perform essential heat treatment tasks under supervision. The position is safety-sensitive and requires working 4pm–2:30am, Monday‑Thursday, with a non-exempt status and potential overtime depending on production needs.

Starting pay ranges from $22 to $28 per hour, with a 401(k) match and comprehensive medical, dental and vision plans for employees and families.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Must satisfy ITAR compliance: US citizens or permanent residents.
• Overtime and alternate shifts may be required, including weekends.
• Must have forklift operation certification and be able to read/write in English.

Responsibilities

• Prepare work for processing; load/unload furnaces, bins and fixtures.
• Operate, monitor and control heat treating equipment per procedures.
• Maintain safety and good housekeeping; report irregularities to supervisor.
• Perform duties to protect customer inventory and prevent loss or damage.
• Lead senior initiatives and mentor junior team members as applicable at level.
• Undertake tasks as assigned and follow written procedures.
