Simpson Strong-Tie is seeking a Heat Treat Technician in Gallatin, TN. The role involves setting up, operating, and maintaining heat-treat equipment and reviewing schedules to determine processing sequences and furnace temps.

You will inspect parts for quality and train new staff, all while following strict safety protocols on a 11.5-hour rotating shift. Applicants should have a high school diploma, heat-treat experience (5 years preferred), forklift certification, and knowledge of metallurgy.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Heat-treating knowledge, metallurgy, temperatures.
• 5 years of heat-treat facility experience preferred.
• Forklift certification/experience required.
• Safety-first mindset and PPE adherence.

Responsibilities

• Set up, operate, and maintain heat-treat process equipment including continuous, batch, and induction systems.
• Load/unload furnaces, inspect components, and monitor temperatures to ensure proper processing.
• Use micrometers/calipers and hardness testers to verify part quality and record results.
• Train new employees and assist with equipment maintenance and documentation.
