Job summary

Precision Castparts is seeking a Co-op Manufacturing Process Improvement Intern to support Engineering and Production teams at the Aerocraft Heat Treat facility. You will study workflow, material movement, life cycles, and tooling to identify efficiency gains and cost-reduction opportunities, collaborating with project engineers to shape practical improvements.

You will create current-state flow diagrams, quantify potential savings, and help begin implementing recommended changes.

Qualifications

• Actively enrolled or pursuing a bachelor's or master's degree in Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or related field.
• Prior internship or co-op experience preferred.
• Experience with data analysis and process improvement is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Conduct in-depth studies on assigned processes to understand current state workflow, requirements, procedures, and specifications.
• Develop flow diagrams for current state; processes, part movement, documentation
• Provide recommendations to reduce costs, improve efficiency, manage resources, and opportunities for automation.
• Begin implementation process of recommended improvements.
• Collaborate with project engineers and other stakeholders to ensure successful project completion.
