Job summary

Precision Castparts in Mentor, Ohio invites a co-op student to work on assignments in mechanical, electrical, or industrial engineering. You will apply classroom knowledge to hands-on projects, interact with outside material processing vendors, and help streamline operations to reduce costs.

You will attend departmental meetings and training sessions, take ownership of projects, and participate in team-driven improvement efforts.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of related engineering discipline functional and technical skills.
• Proficient with Microsoft Excel, AutoCAD, & Microsoft Office.
• Good writing and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Apply principles learned in school to hands-on equipment and facilities design and improvement.
• Take ownership of performance goals and progressively assume responsibilities in facilities engineering.
• Identify and recommend equipment improvements for projects.
• Attend regular departmental meetings and training sessions.
• Develop requirements and specifications with project teams.
• Work to meet project goals within specifications and timelines.
• Collaborate on new equipment development, upgrades, and energy conservation opportunities.
• Perform or review procedures and documentation for tasks.
