Job summary

PepWear in Cedar Hill, TX is seeking a Heat Press Production Associate to join the Screen Print Department. This entry-level position offers growth potential and requires handling heat presses, transfers, and garments with attention to detail.

Responsibilities include reading work orders, aligning designs, maintaining quality, and supporting other production areas as needed. Regular daytime hours apply, with potential evening work during peak seasons.

Qualifications

• Must be able to stand for long hours and lift 30 pounds repeatedly.
• Must be able to read English and comprehend job specifications.
• Must be able to count and perform simple math to track orders.

Responsibilities

• Operate heat press machines to apply transfers, names, numbers, logos, and other graphics to apparel and products
• Position and align transfers on garments according to order specifications
• Set and monitor heat press temperature, pressure, and time based on garment and transfer type
• Inspect transfers and finished garments for placement, adhesion, color and quality
• Identify defects or issues and re-press or set aside products for correction
• Read and follow work orders, production instructions, and garment specifications
• Sort and organize garments by order, size, style, color, or design
• Prepare garments for production, including removing packaging and tags
• Fold, count, tag, bag, and package completed garments for next stage
• Maintain accurate quantities and ensure items match work orders
• Keep heat press equipment and area clean, organized, and safe
• Follow production procedures and quality-control standards
• Communicate shortages or issues to supervisor
• Assist with basic equipment setup and routine cleaning
• Meet daily production goals while maintaining quality
• Assist other departments as needed
• Perform other production duties as assigned
