Role OverviewFrom the first spark of your torch to the final pressure test, you’ll craft clean, leak‑tight joints that hold up in heat exchangers, condensers, and evaporators. As a Brazing Technician, you will perform manual brazing and soldering on copper and aluminum components, delivering repeatable quality that meets stringent internal and customer standards.A Day in the LifeYou’ll begin by reviewing work orders and drawings, staging copper tubing, headers, return bends, distributors, and fittings. Joints are prepared with careful cleaning, alignment, and fluxing. With an oxy‑acetylene or induction torch in hand, you’ll tune flame type and temperature, manage heat input, and select the right filler to ensure thorough wetting without overheating or oxidation. Completed assemblies are visually inspected and verified with leak and pressure tests. Any weak points are reworked with precision.
