Job summary

The Clinical Nurse at Dartmouth Health is a dedicated, licensed professional providing autonomous, evidence-based care guided by nursing science. The role uses the nursing process to assess, plan, implement and evaluate care for diverse patient populations to ensure safe outcomes.

Responsibilities include critical thinking, advocacy for patient autonomy, mentorship of colleagues, and collaboration with the care team. NH licensure required with ACLS/BLS within specified timelines; BSN preferred.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited Nursing Program required.
• BSN preferred.

Responsibilities

• Utilizes the nursing process to assess, diagnose, identify outcomes, plan, implement and evaluate an individualized plan of care.
• Utilizes critical thinking and the nursing process to anticipate and recognize changes in patient status, taking action to modify the plan of care or to elevate to the care team as necessary.
• Acts in accordance with the ANA Code of Ethics to advocate for patients, uphold autonomy, ensure informed consent and assist patients and families in self-determination.
• Mentors colleagues for advancement of nursing practice and the profession.
• Performs other duties as required or assigned.
