Job summary

Penn State College of Medicine, Heart and Vascular Institute in Hershey, PA, seeks a Research Technologist to support advanced cardiovascular research. The candidate will manage animal colonies,/genotyping, cell lines, and flow cytometry analyses under PI supervision.

Responsibilities include data analysis, assistance with manuscripts and grants, and regulatory oversight. A Bachelor’s degree and 1+ years of related experience are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field and 1+ years of related experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Responsibilities

• Maintain transgenic animal colonies and perform genotyping analyses.
• Maintain cell lines and conduct flow cytometric analysis of inflammatory immune responses in tissues.
• Assist with ordering, receiving, SOPs and regulatory oversight.
• Analyze collected data and assist PI with writing manuscripts and grants.
