Job summary

The Brigham and Women’s Hospital in Boston seeks a Part-Time Staff Nurse for the Ambulatory-Pre/Post Transplant program (Heart Transplant). The role covers 32 hours weekly with rotating days, working on-site at the BWH Main Campus and, as needed, at off-site MA locations, potentially requiring licensure in other states.

You will coordinate care across the transplant team, enter data into EPIC databases, and educate patients and families about medications, activity, and follow-up.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an approved nursing program with MA RN licensure; newly licensed BSN preferred.
• Five years plus of intensive care cardiac surgery experience required.
• Transplant patient care experience required; ambulatory experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate care for pre- and post-transplant patients with the transplant team.
• Enter data into EPIC and transplant databases; support charting and reporting.
• Communicate with referring physicians, patients, families and insurers regarding care and follow-up.
• Assist with education, discharge planning and follow-up arrangements; participate in quality initiatives.
