UPMC is seeking a Heart & Lung Transplant Fellow in Pennsylvania to participate in advanced training across two high-volume services. The fellow will assist with the Heart and Lung Transplant programs under the division co‑chiefs, with rotation-based responsibilities and teaching duties for junior fellows and residents.

• Expertise in heart transplant surgery and related procedures.
• Demonstrated ability to work across multidisciplinary teams.
• Commitment to teaching junior fellows and residents.

Responsabilités

• Lead day-to-day management of heart and lung transplant inpatients, including pre-, intra-, and post-operative care, ICU rounding, and discharge planning.
• Coordinate multidisciplinary care with transplant cardiology, pulmonology, ECMO/VAD services, infectious diseases, pharmacy, PT/OT, social work, and care management.
• Participate in organ offers/list management, selection conferences, and OR planning for transplant procedures.
• Engage in quality and safety initiatives within the transplant programs.
• Participate in on-call coverage as assigned.
