Job summary

Michigan Medicine seeks an Applications Programmer Intermediate to join the BMC2 Heart Failure Registry effort. The role develops, maintains, and supports database-driven applications, data systems, and reporting solutions that enable clinical, research, and operational initiatives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
• Significant professional experience in application development with a strong focus on SQL and relational databases.
• Advanced proficiency in SQL, including query optimization and complex data transformations.
• Experience developing applications using PHP and/or Python.

Responsibilities

• Develop, test, maintain, and support database-driven applications, data systems, and reporting solutions.
• Create, modify, and optimize SQL queries, database objects, and supporting data structures for reporting and data validation.
• Develop, maintain, and troubleshoot data pipelines and automated workflows that ingest, transform, and deliver data between registry systems and supporting applications.
