Job summary

Atrium Health Wake Forest Baptist Heart and Vascular Center in Winston-Salem, NC, is seeking a Heart Failure Advanced Practice Provider (APP) or PA/NP to join an outpatient cardiology team. The role focuses on advanced heart failure and transplant cases with strong academic environment support.

The position offers a Monday–Friday schedule, 40 hours/week, no weekends, early 8 am–5 pm, and ample opportunities for professional growth within a respected academic health system.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited Physician Assistant Program; Master's Degree preferred.
• Current North Carolina Medical Board Medical License, Certified by NCCPA (PA) or RN/NP license for NP.
• Minimum of two years of experience in a cardiovascular or heart failure care environment.

Responsibilities

• Review and interpret cardiac imaging reports and explain findings to patients.
• Manage and respond to outpatient patient communications and calls.
• Use medical decision-making to determine appropriate patient care plans.
• Collaborate with medical team for team-based care.
• Order and interpret laboratory studies and procedures; explain preparation and effects to patients.
• Potential to participate in research projects and precept students/learners.
