Job summary

Abrazo Arizona Heart Hospital, part of Tenet Healthcare, is seeking a Technologist to provide technical, patient support and care in the Cardiac Cath Lab. You will assist physicians with invasive and noninvasive procedures, prepare rooms, operate monitoring equipment, and ensure readiness for procedures while prioritizing patient safety.

The role requires 2 years of acute care Cath Lab experience and completion of a two-year cardiovascular technology training program (or equivalent).

Qualifications

• Special Skills: Demonstrates critical thinking in relation to patient management and physician interaction.
• Minimum Requirements: 2 years experience in an acute care Cardiac Catheterization Lab or CVOR.

Responsibilities

• Assists in cleanup of room after procedures and restocking supplies.
• Positioning, prepping and draping patients for procedures with explanations to patients.
• Sets up and scrubs for procedures maintaining aseptic technique.
• Starts IVs with normal saline within scope of practice.
• Inserts arterial lines under physician supervision.
• Assists in procedures such as Left Heart Catheterization, Coronary Intervention, Pacemaker insertions, Central lines, Swan-Ganz, and more.
• Operates hemodynamic monitoring equipment and records client values.
• Performs other related tasks as assigned
