Qualifications

• Must be a graduate of an accredited program of professional nursing and possess a current license as a Registered Nurse in the State of Pennsylvania.
• Minimum Experience Required: 2–3 years diagnostic/interventional cardiac cath lab experience preferred; ED/ICU in tertiary facility acceptable.
• Licensure/Certification: Current PA RN license; BLS required or within one month of hire; ACLS and dysrhythmia required (or within 6 months); NIHSS (within 6 months); RCIS preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provides direct patient care to adult to geriatric populations in the cardiac cath lab/angio environment.
• Communicates with physician about patient condition; assists with equipment maintenance and room readiness.
• Obtains supplies for cases and ensures cath lab teams' needs are met.
• Monitors and positions patient during procedures; participates in performance improvement activities.
