Job summary

Qualifications

• Knowledge of hemodynamic pressure recording/interpretation and sterile technique.
• Proficient in cardiac catheterization and related equipment.
• Ability to document nursing notes electronically.
• Ability to perform in crises and work as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Assesses and documents the physical and psychosocial needs of patients.
• Demonstrates the knowledge and skills to provide care appropriate to the age of the patient.
• Utilizes the nursing process to provide direct patient care in collaboration with all health care disciplines.
• Demonstrates clinical and technical competence in Cardiac Cath Lab and Radiology procedures including left and right heart catheterization, coronary interventions, and electrophysiology studies.
• Maintains proficiency in administration of medications and adult IV sedation as required.
• Initiates appropriate emergency procedures and administers life-supporting drugs under physician supervision.
