Job summary

The Babies First Newborn Hearing Screen Program LLC is seeking a proactive Coordinator to oversee hospital-based newborn hearing screening operations. You will manage staffing, ensure ongoing training, and drive adherence to quality standards and regulatory requirements.

You will also audit personnel files, monitor patient follow-up for referred babies, onboard new staff, provide site coverage, and handle timely state reporting, billing, and HIPAA-compliant workflow to support safe, efficient

Responsibilities

• Oversee staffing and staffing needs.
• Onboard and train new staff.
• Ensure quality standards for assigned hospitals.
• Audit and maintain employee files for compliance with Babies First, State, OSHA, TJC and hospital requirements.
• Ensure referred babies are followed and receive appropriate care.
• Provide site coverage and screen newborns for hearing loss prior to discharge per protocol.
• Monitor state reporting and ensure timely reporting to meet requirements.
• Maintain data collection, billing information, and other reporting items.
• Reinforce HIPAA compliance and best practices for screening and operations.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Job description

• Coordinator is responsible for operational oversight to include:
• Staffing
• Ongoing training of staff
• Working to achieve quality standards for their assigned hospitals.
• Auditing and maintaining employee files to ensure all personnel are in compliance with Babies First, State, OSHA, The Joint Commission (TJC) and hospital requirements.
• Ensuring all refer babies are being followed appropriately and getting the care they need through outcome.
• Coordinator is responsible for ensuring that all staffing needs are met and will on-board and train any new staff.
• Coordinator will be responsible for providing site coverage when needed and will evaluate, prioritize, and screen newborns for hearing loss prior to discharge from hospital based upon established protocol.
• Coordinator is responsible for ensuring that all state reporting is done timely and meets State requirements.
• Coordinator is responsible for ensuring that all statistical reporting, billing information, staffing, quality, and satisfaction items are complete on time and as requested.
• Coordinator will ensure that all on-going operations are functioning properly and will reinforce best practices in regards to screening, management HIPAA compliance, etc.
• Coordinator will be responsible for other duties as assigned.
