Job summary
Starkey Retail is seeking a Hearing Instrument Sales Specialist Trainee to be trained in fittings, service, repairs, and sales while guiding patients through the journey to better hearing. The role includes remote services via TeleHear and collaboration with licensed specialists for diagnostis and fitting.
The program prepares you for dispensing licensure with sponsorship and travel for advanced training, aiming to build strong customer relationships and clinical skills in a fast-paced hearing
Qualifications
- Education: High school required; college degree preferred or equivalent work history in healthcare or technical field.
- Bachelors in Speech and Hearing Sciences/Communication Disorders ideal.
- 1+ years of sales experience preferred and/or background in medical or hearing aid industry.
- Knowledge of the hearing aid industry a plus.
- Public speaking experience and training.
Responsibilities
- Provide Patient Journey Experience through counseling and instruction.
- Learn to conduct patient diagnostics and comprehensive hearing evaluations.
- Train with licensed specialists to complete practicum hours, possibly travel to other regions.
- Learn Starkey product line and programming of hearing instruments; travel to Starkey training events may be required.
- Train with TeleHear tools for working with patients remotely; use TEAMS, VSEE, and GoToMeeting.
