Job summary

Bridgestone Americas, Inc. seeks a Health & Safety Manager to direct and coordinate all safety and health activities for the Bloomington facility. The role focuses on developing policies to mitigate hazards, identifying risks, and leading investigations to prevent recurrence.

Position Summary

In this role the Health & Safety Manager will direct and coordinate all safety and health related activities for the facility.

• Developing and implementing policies and practices to identify/mitigate hazardous conditions within the workplace
• Identifying potential workplace hazards, unsafe equipment, work practices, and working conditions
• Investigating accidents and liaising with engineers, management, and health and safety regulatory authorities to identify causes of accidents and prevent their recurrence
• Providing advice and training on safety protocols and conducting audits to ensure compliance with organization and government standards related to employee health and safety
• Maintaining and analyzing records of workplace injuries, illness, and absences to identify areas of concern and provide information required by regulatory agencies

Pay Range: $106,200.00 - $169,900.00

• Manages experienced professionals who exercise independent discretion and/or manages a functional area or process that may or may not have direct reports.
• Implements policy and strategy for short-term results and influences others outside of own job area regarding policies, practices and procedures
• Decision making is guided by strategic objectives of specialization

• Must be able to communicates with executive leadership
• Supports relationships through strong communication and negotiation skills with internal and external stakeholders

Minimum Qualifications
