Job summary

State of West Virginia seeks a HealthTech Appalachia Program Analyst to support a grant-funded health tech initiative. The role focuses on due diligence, financial analysis, and market assessment to identify and accelerate promising technologies within WV.

The position requires a bachelor’s in finance, economics, or related field, and familiarity with venture capital concepts and healthcare markets. It is a full-time, on-site role located in Charleston, WV.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in finance, economics, accounting, or related field.
Technical skills such as financial analysis, valuation, due diligence, market analysis.
Familiarity with venture capital deal structures and investment terms.
Ability to review and interpret key legal documents.
Familiarity with healthcare economics, markets, and commercialization.

Responsibilities

Support HTA Program Coordinator in managing HTA.
Perform due diligence on HTA investment opportunities: financials, IP/patents, market, commercialization, scalability, risk, valuation, operations.
Assist with reporting, data collection, and tracking.
Assist with application review for program compliance, eligibility, and alignment with goals.
Assist with preparing materials for investment presentations to HTA Advisory Panel.
Other tasks as assigned by management.
