Job summary

Motion Recruitment is seeking a Full Stack Engineer in a hybrid New York City role. You will work on frontend-heavy features with React and TypeScript, build dashboards, and integrate AI-powered workflows across the stack.

The team emphasizes rapid iteration, ownership, and direct exposure to leadership. The position involves shipping production features from day one, collaborating with the CTO and Senior Engineer on product direction, and contributing to partner-facing and consumer experiences.

Qualifications

• 2–4 years of full-stack software engineering experience, ideally within a startup or fast-moving engineering environment.
• Strong production experience with React and TypeScript.
• Strong understanding of component architecture, state management, and modern frontend development.
• Full-stack development experience across frontend, APIs, and databases.
• Frontend-leaning engineering background with a strong interest in building user-facing experiences.
• Experience shipping production software and working through the full development lifecycle.
• Daily experience using AI-assisted development tools such as Claude, Cursor, or equivalent.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced startup environment with frequent releases and rapid iteration.
• Strong desire to learn, take ownership, and grow as an engineer.

Responsibilities

• Build and ship production-quality partner-facing and consumer-facing experiences using React, TypeScript, and Next.js.
• Develop dashboards for wellness partners, consumers, and internal operations teams.
• Work across the full stack to build frontend experiences, connect APIs, and interact with databases.
• Build AI-powered workflows and internal tools using MCP and modern agentic frameworks.
• Develop features that leverage the company's data infrastructure for AI and analytics.
• Collaborate closely with the CTO and Senior Engineer on product development and technical decisions.
• Translate product requirements and customer needs into intuitive, scalable user experiences.
• Write clean, maintainable production code and contribute to a modern engineering codebase.
• Participate in the team's AI-native development workflow and leverage modern tooling to accelerate developmentIterate quickly based on feedback and continuously improve existing product experiences.
• Contribute to engineering standards, tooling, and practices as the team grows.
