St Johns Community Health in Los Angeles, CA is seeking a Workplace Safety and Security Specialist to ensure safety, security, and emergency readiness across SJCH locations. You will conduct site rounds, monitor access, and support incident response while upholding patient-centered service and compliance standards.

Requirements include a high school diploma, 2+ years in security or public safety, and preferred healthcare security training.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Associate’s degree in Criminal Justice, Public Safety, Healthcare Administration, Business Administration, or related field preferred.
• Two or more years of experience in security operations, public safety, healthcare security, or related field preferred.
• CPI Nonviolent Crisis Intervention training or equivalent preferred; CPR/First Aid certification preferred.

Responsabilités

• Support daily workplace safety and security operations at SJCH locations under supervision.
• Conduct site rounds, safety observations, and security assessments to identify hazards and opportunities for improvement.
• Monitor access points, surveillance, alarm systems, lighting, and perimeters; report concerns through established channels.
• Maintain a professional, helpful presence and engage respectfully with patients, visitors, employees, and contracted security personnel.
• Support implementation of safety, security, and emergency-response procedures.
