Job summary

Henry Ford Health seeks an IT Wireless Engineer to design, implement, and support the hospital system’s WiFi infrastructure across multiple campuses. You’ll work with cross-functional teams to deploy new features, monitor performance, and resolve connectivity issues in a large, multi-location enterprise.

Strong knowledge of RF, security, QoS, and routing is essential, as is the ability to document designs clearly and communicate with management.

Qualifications

• 3–5+ years of IT experience in a related field.
• 5+ years supporting a multi-location enterprise WAN.
• CWNA certification or within 1 year; CWAP preferred.
• Training in wireless technologies and security solutions.
• Knowledge of privacy laws (HIPAA) related to wireless.

Responsibilities

• Provide engineering implementation and support for the company-wide WiFi infra.
• Perform day-to-day operations, service monitoring, and project coordination.
• Collaborate with other units on joint projects to evolve wireless operations.
• Produce sound wireless designs and deliver effective technical support.
