Job summary

The Hired Guns seeks an Associate Web Content Producer to join a leading healthcare organization. You will own content from intake through publication, coordinating with clinicians, faculty, communications, legal and IT to ensure accuracy and accessibility.

This contract-to-hire role is remote with occasional on-site meetings in New York City and will convert to full-time hybrid after six months. A strong CMS background and meticulous attention to detail are essential.

Qualifications

• Roughly 6–9 years of hands‑on web/content experience with real content and stakeholder management.
• Solid CMS experience; Drupal is a big plus, with WordPress, AEM, Sitecore or similar platforms relevant.
• Sharp eye for detail and commitment to accuracy, consistency, and quality.
• Experience juggling multiple content requests, deadlines, approval chains, and stakeholders.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work with both technical and non-technical people.
• Experience in healthcare is a plus, especially around sensitive content, clinical review, or regulated environments.
• Familiarity with web accessibility and PDF remediation, including WCAG/Section 508/ADA standards.
• Enough technical fluency to troubleshoot basic content/formatting issues and know when to call the web/IT team.
• Above all: dependability, attentiveness, initiative, and the ability to get things done without micromanagement.

Responsibilities

• Own content from intake through approval and publication, QA your work, troubleshoot issues, and keep workflows moving.
• Publish and maintain content across multiple CMS platforms and coordinate updates with stakeholders.
• Support patient-facing content, clinical information, and medical-school web properties; assist with migrations and redesigns.
• Collaborate with clinicians, faculty, communications, legal, compliance, and IT to ensure accuracy and accessibility.
• Manage multiple deadlines and approval chains while maintaining quality and consistency.
• Drive efficiency improvements in the content production process.
