Job summary

Oregon Nurses Association in Eugene/Springfield seeks an Internal Labor Representative to facilitate and strengthen bargaining units across the state. You will work within the Labor department to empower healthcare workers, support leadership development, and ensure effective organizing efforts.

The role involves training stewards, coordinating campaigns, negotiating contracts, addressing grievances, and maintaining member-focused communication.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree required; three years of union organizing/related experience preferred.
• Knowledge of basic labor and employment law (NLRA, PECBA, FMLA, ADA, OSHA).
• Ability to speak one-on-one and with groups; facilitate discussions.

Responsibilities

• Develop broad, representative pool of worksite leaders.
• Train leaders to move campaigns and serve as advocates.
• Support leaders on committees and participate when needed.
• Develop strategic plans for bargaining units and keep them updated.
• Promote union membership and organize unrepresented employees.
• Identify bargaining unit leaders for statewide roles.
