Qualifications

• Experience as a Union Representative/Organizer.
• Knowledge of labor law NLRA, MMBA, FLSA, Cal OSHA, FMLA, Title 22, ADA, Workers Compensation.
• Excellent interpersonal and leadership abilities.
• Ability to negotiate collective bargaining agreements and resolve grievances.
• Willingness to travel and work long hours, including weekends.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with Executive Board, stewards to design campaigns increasing member power.
• Lead organizing campaigns to win recognition for unorganized workplaces.
• Direct stewards in contract negotiation and enforcement activities.
• Educate workers on power dynamics and rights in the workplace.
• Coordinate outreach, rallies, and community relations for campaigns.
• Prepare materials and participate in lobbying at various government levels.
• Develop relationships with employers, community groups, and unions.
