The California Nurses Association (CNA)/National Nurses United (NNU) seeks a Labor Representative to build power and mobilize members across Monterey and Salinas, California. The role focuses on advancing collective bargaining and nurses’ rights in a health care context.

The ideal candidate will handle contract negotiations, grievances and arbitrations, and develop local leadership while traveling to hospital facilities to support nurses and ensure patient care quality.

Requirements/Qualifications For The Role

The Labor Representative is responsible for:

• All matters related to collective bargaining
• Compiling, analyzing, interpreting and presenting pertinent data
• Assisting in contract negotiations
• Processing grievances and conducting arbitrations
• Representing nurses in employment-related problems
• Extensive travel to cover hospital facilities

Additional & Preferred Qualifications

• Insatiable work ethic and drive to create systemic change
• Demonstrated success at contract enforcement
• Prior experience as a full-time Labor Representative a plus
• Effectiveness in organizing membership participation
• Developing rank and file leadership.

Salary And Benefits

Competitive salary of $82,762 to $155,909 annually dependent on skills and experience. Outstanding benefits offered, including comprehensive family health & dental plan, and generous pension.
