Job summary

U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs in Bedford, MA seeks a Training Specialist within the Chief of Staff Service. This permanent, full-time role supports trainees across VA Bedford Healthcare System and affiliates, with a 7:30am-4:00pm schedule.

The position emphasizes data analysis, process improvement, training program development, accreditation coordination, and liaison work with academic affiliates. Telework is ad-hoc and eligibility will be discussed in the interview.

Qualifications

• Specialized experience: 1 full year at GS-7 level or equivalent in training related work.
• Education: two years of progressively higher-level graduate education or masters or equivalent.
• Combination: education plus specialized experience as described to meet GS-09.

Responsibilities

• Assists a full spectrum of trainees and employees across VA Bedford and affiliate schools/hospitals.
• Analyzes data from diverse systems to validate and present accurate information.
• Develops and implements training programs and SOPs to improve efficiency.
• Maintains databases on healthcare professionals and trainings; tracks licensure and security clearances.
• Works with academic affiliates to establish affiliation agreements and program requirements.
