Job summary

Avalon Healthcare Solutions is seeking a Technical Implementation Integration Lead to manage all technical integration points between Avalon systems and client platforms. The role operates as a client-facing SME, coordinating IT, configuration, and data-management teams to ensure seamless connectivity and data exchange.

The position supports remote work with quarterly travel to Avalon’s Tampa, Florida office, and requires strong experience in healthcare data exchange (EDI/HL7/FHIR) and project

Qualifications

• Minimum of five (5) years’ professional implementation experience in IT integration or electronic data exchange (EDI) in healthcare operations.
• Minimum of three (3) years supporting medical claim processing technologies in health plans or benefits management.
• Ability to negotiate and resolve issues between external and internal stakeholders.
• Solid SDLC knowledge and testing methodologies, agile or waterfall env.
• Experience with healthcare data integrations (EDI/HL7/FHIR).
• Proven ability to translate business needs into technical specs for dev and testing teams.

Responsibilities

• Serve as client-facing SME on technical integration delivery across Pre-Pay and Post-Pay data exchanges.
• Manage concurrent client implementations with complex requirements and production readiness.
• Develop and execute implementation plans with stakeholders’ engagement throughout.
• Lead data mapping, GAP analysis sessions with clients and intermediaries.
• Maintain risk, issue, assumption, decisions traceability and mitigations.
• Coordinate secure client access (SSO, SFTP) and manage technical work items in JIRA.
• Generate BI reports and dashboards with Tableau; support UAT and issue resolution.
• Translate business needs into clear technical specs and communicate with stakeholders.
