Job summary

Humata Health is seeking a Solutions Engineer (Technical Delivery & Support) to own technical integrations and provide expert guidance to customer IT and EMR teams. Remote-USA role focusing on EDI and API integrations, data mapping, and secure data exchange.

You will lead end-to-end delivery, troubleshoot payloads, and collaborate with engineering to build reusable integration frameworks. Strong HIPAA/HITRUST knowledge and travel up to 25% are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, or equivalent technical field.
• 5–7+ years of hands-on integration engineering with direct ownership of EDI and API implementations in healthcare.
• Deep expertise with EDI X12 standards, including 278R transactions and 275 Attachments.
• Advanced SQL proficiency (CTEs, window functions, ETL data validation).
• Hands-on experience with interface engines (prefer Mirth Connect).
• Expert in REST APIs: OAuth2, Basic Auth, API keys; API schema validation.
• Strong familiarity with Epic, Cerner, Athenahealth EMRs and related systems.
• Experience configuring B2B VPNs, SSL, mutual TLS, encryption protocols.
• Network troubleshooting tools (Wireshark, OpenVPN, tcpdump).
• Automation for API testing/monitoring (Postman, Newman, Swagger Inspector).
• PowerBI/Looker or similar for health-integration monitoring.
• Willingness to travel up to 25%.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end design and deployment of integrations (EDI, REST, file-based).
• Design and optimize data mappings between customer systems and Humata Health platforms.
• Manage VPNs, IP whitelisting, and credential provisioning with secure transmission.
• Perform payload debugging (JSON/XML/EDI) using Postman/Insomnia/EDI Notepad.
• Build SQL scripts for migrations, data validation, and audits.
• Develop automated test scripts for integration validation.
• Monitor data flows with internal/external monitors and alerts.
