Job summary

Alera Group is seeking a Healthcare Data Integration Specialist to remotely join our data team. The role focuses on executing and optimizing healthcare data integrations, ensuring timely data delivery and high data quality across the organization.

The ideal candidate has 4+ years of healthcare data experience, strong Excel and SQL skills, and familiarity with HIPAA X12/HL7. Candidates must thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment and own end-to-end data workflows.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in a relevant field.
• Minimum 4 years of hands-on experience with healthcare data (claims, eligibility, pharmacy, clinical).
• Experience in healthcare payer, TPA, PBM, or healthcare analytics is preferred.
• Strong data integration, validation, and data quality management experience.
• Experience collaborating with external data providers and vendors.

Responsibilities

• Lead execution of complex healthcare data integrations from intake to validation.
• Evaluate data formats and requirements for successful integration.
• Perform data analytics to assess completeness, structure, and usability.
• Support mapping efforts and align with reporting needs.
• Identify and resolve data anomalies, gaps, and inconsistencies.
• Collaborate with internal teams and data providers to resolve issues.
• Monitor recurring data feeds and suggest improvements.
• Document integration processes and best practices.
• Communicate progress, risks, and dependencies to stakeholders.
