Job summary

Memorial Medical Center, part of Lifepoint Health, is seeking a Systems Analyst in Las Cruces, NM, to optimize hospital information systems and IT services.

You will manage deployments, coordinate with departments, support desktop, network, and nurse call systems, and provide analysis to improve patient care through technology.

A background in hospital IT, electronics, and the ability to work under pressure are preferred.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or equivalent in Electronics.
• 3-4 years electronic repair experience on PCs and PC-based equipment.
• Two years' recent experience in a hospital information systems department.
• Experience evaluating, selecting, and/or installing automated information systems.
• Formal training with Windows desktop and server platforms.
• Knowledge of networks, client-server computing, and help desk.
• Vendor-specific training for nurse call system and phone switch.

Responsibilities

• Identifies opportunities to improve business processes through IT.
• Provides technical leadership and guidance to user departments evaluating, selecting, installing, and supporting automated information systems.
• Assists with analyzing, specifying, reviewing, and implementing hospital information systems.
• Manages the telephone system, including installation, maintenance, and support.
• Plans and coordinates services related to PCs, peripherals, printers, cables, and Nurse Call.
• Analyzes business processes and data to identify IT automation opportunities.
• Provides telephone services to internal and external customers.
• Installs and maintains in-house PCs, printers, scanners, network components, and time clocks.
• Manages automated systems including implementation, vendor coordination, and training.
• Maintains knowledge of financial, clinical, and office automation applications.
• Performs department analyses to determine appropriate levels of automation.
• Provides application- and system-level support and hardware support as needed.
