Job summary

Nebraska Medicine is seeking a System Security Operations Manager to build and lead enterprise physical security across hospitals, clinics, and campus locations. You will recruit and develop security staff, implement processes, and partner with clinical leaders to create a consistent safety culture.

The role requires strategic thinking, hands-on leadership, and experience with access control, video surveillance, incident reporting, and emergency communication; CHPA/CPP/PSP/CSPM certifications

Qualifications

• Associate's degree in criminal justice, security management, public administration, business administration, or a related field is required.
• High school diploma or equivalent with two additional years of healthcare security experience may substitute for the degree.
• Minimum five years of experience in security, law enforcement, or emergency management.
• Minimum three years of leadership experience.
• Experience managing or operating security technology and systems (access control, video surveillance, incident reporting, emergency communication or response).
• Familiarity with Joint Commission (TJC) regulations and OSHA standards related to hospital security.
• Ability to implement short- and long-term security strategies and conduct risk/vulnerability assessments.
• Familiarity with HIPAA and TJC requirements; capable of leading during crises.

Responsibilities

• Provide oversight of enterprise physical security operations across the organization.
• Lead assigned security personnel and manage the Security Control Center and related infrastructure.
• Oversee security systems, technology, and visitor management across hospitals and clinics.
• Coordinate delivery of physical security services with internal and external partners.
• Support safety, crisis prevention, and emergency response across the organization.
