Job summary

Brown University Health is seeking a Supply Chain Supervisor to coordinate activities across the Supply Chain Procedural, Distribution, and Central Supply teams. You will train staff, manage inventory, and help implement procedures while ensuring compliance with established standards of practice.

The role emphasizes collaboration with clinical management, recruitment and competency assessment, and ongoing process improvements within Brown University Health.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required and a minimum of 4 years of experience in related healthcare or warehouse field.
• Basic knowledge of medical terminology, aseptic techniques, and inventory management.
• A high level of interpersonal skills to effectively represent Brown University Health and Supply Chain in interaction with all levels of personnel within and outside the organization.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office tools and ability to learn necessary supporting information system.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for high-quality employee training, directly and through delegation and shadowing other employees.
• Manages inventory of supplies in the department; monitors usage trends, maintains par forms, and assist with recalls, backorders, and substitute products.
• Coordinates priority and/or special-order requests for supplies and equipment as needed; runs and works various daily and periodic reports; prepares and maintains records, files, and requisitions.
• Assists employees with prioritization and problem resolution as issues occur, such as authorizing urgent requisitions or adjusting assignments; initiates inventory control activities.
• Participates in yearly audit and inventory; ensures compliance to established standards, policies, and procedures.
