Job summary

ECG Management Consultants, Inc. invites rising graduate students to join its healthcare internship program, a 10–12 week summer experience for 2027 prior to the final year of advanced-degree studies.

You will work in the Healthcare Consulting Pool across four divisions, gaining exposure to data analysis, financial modeling, stakeholder interviews, and multi-team collaboration while handling project work typical of full-time consultants.

Qualifications

• Graduating with the class of 2028 with a master’s degree in business administration and/or a health-related field.
• Two or more years of relevant, professional experience prior to graduate school (e.g., healthcare consulting and/or hospital administration or operations), or a strong business background in strategic operations, finance, or consulting.
• Strong knowledge of and passion for the healthcare industry.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
• Proven track record of solving complex problems and completing challenging projects.
• Demonstrated diagnostic, analytical, and quantitative skills.
• Strong written and verbal presentation skills.
• Ability to travel as needed.

Responsibilities

• Analyzing, synthesizing, and interpreting data to inform client recommendations
• Using financial modeling to conduct in-depth analyses and recommend executable strategies
• Conducting stakeholder interviews
• Leading information-gathering efforts
• Assisting in developing and managing work plans, schedules, and budgets
• Drafting project analyses and deliverables
• Communicating project progress and seeking input
• Developing depth of technical expertise
• Identifying follow-on opportunities and helping scope and close such engagements
• Assisting in the design and implementation of recommended solutions
• Working closely with multiple project teams and ECG senior consulting leaders
• Taking responsibility for project outcomes
• Communicating effectively with management and executive-level client staff
• Learning about ECG’s breadth of solutions and identifying those that reflect personal and professional interests
• Participating in peer and junior staff knowledge development and career advancement
• Demonstrating the ability to excel at consulting while balancing work and personal life
• Acting as an ECG ambassador within personal, professional, and alumni networks
