The 10–12 week program sits within ECG's Healthcare Consulting Pool across four divisions: Health System Performance, Medical Group Optimization, Payer Strategy & Contracting, and Strategy & Enterprise Growth. Interns will analyze data, conduct stakeholder interviews, and help develop client-ready deliverables while gaining exposure to senior consultants and real-world

Qualifications

• Graduating with the class of 2028 with a master’s degree in business administration and/or a health-related field.
• Two or more years of relevant, professional experience prior to graduate school (e.g., healthcare consulting and/or hospital administration or operations), or a strong business background in strategic operations, finance, or consulting.
• Strong knowledge of and passion for the healthcare industry.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
• Proven track record of solving complex problems and completing challenging projects.
• Demonstrated diagnostic, analytical, and quantitative skills.
• Track record of strong client service.
• Demonstrated career progression with increasing responsibilities.
• Strong written and verbal presentation skills.
• Ability to travel as needed.

Responsibilities

• Analyze, synthesize, and interpret data to inform client recommendations.
• Use financial modeling to conduct in-depth analyses and recommend executable strategies.
• Conduct stakeholder interviews.
• Lead information-gathering efforts.
• Assist in developing and managing work plans, schedules, and budgets.
• Draft project analyses and deliverables.
• Communicate project progress and seek input.
• Develop depth of technical expertise.
• Identify follow-on opportunities and help scope and close engagements.
• Assist in the design and implementation of recommended solutions.
• Work closely with multiple project teams and ECG senior consulting leaders.
• Take responsibility for project outcomes.
• Communicate effectively with management and executive-level client staff.
• Learn ECG’s breadth of solutions and identify those reflecting interests.
• Participate in peer and junior staff knowledge development.
• Demonstrate the ability to excel at consulting while balancing work and personal life.
• Act as an ECG ambassador within networks.
