Job summary

Vizient, Inc. is offering a 10-week, paid Summer Internship in Strategy Analytics in Chicago, IL. Interns will conduct focused research, organize findings, and produce client-ready deliverables that translate data into practical healthcare insights. Mentors will guide you, with exposure to executive-level communications and real project impact.

You will learn to structure market assessments, use Excel/Tableau/Power BI, and contribute to templates and scalable analytics for client delivery.

Qualifications

• Pursuing bachelor’s or master’s in business, analytics, economics, public health, healthcare administration, or related field.
• Proficiency in Excel and experience with Tableau/Power BI or similar tools.
• Experience with data analysis, statistics, market research, strategy or healthcare coursework/projects.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with the ability to translate data into clear insights.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills; attention to detail.
• Must be based in Chicago and able to work from the Chicago office for 10 weeks (3 days/week).

Responsibilities

• Support a defined healthcare strategy project, such as market assessment, service line growth analysis, or ambulatory network evaluation.
• Gather, organize, and validate data to support project analyses.
• Conduct quantitative and qualitative analyses on market demand, competitive positioning, access, utilization, and growth opportunities.
• Collaborate with team members to advance project objectives and meet timelines.
• Develop clear charts, summaries, and presentation materials communicating key findings and implications.
• Document analytic approaches, data sources and open questions to support reproducible work.
• Help develop reusable templates, standardized analyses, and efficient reporting processes.
