Job summary

Columbus-Alzheimer is seeking a Staffing Coordinator to manage staff schedules and ensure adequate coverage across all shifts in a healthcare setting. The role requires collaborating with nursing supervisors, department heads, and HR to balance census needs and resident care.

The ideal candidate has 1–2 years of staffing or scheduling experience in healthcare, strong organizational and communication skills, and proficiency with scheduling software and EHR systems.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1–2 years in staffing, scheduling, or administration in healthcare or long-term care.
• Experience coordinating staff across multiple shifts, including weekends and holidays.
• Familiarity with labor laws, wage and hour regulations, and union contracts (if applicable).
• Strong communication with department heads, nurses, and HR to balance census and resident care needs.

Responsibilities

• Create and maintain staff schedules to ensure coverage for all shifts.
• Adjust schedules for absences, patient needs, or last-minute changes.
• Monitor attendance, overtime, and call-offs; coordinate replacements as needed.
• Communicate schedule changes promptly to staff and leadership.
• Maintain records of schedules, time-off, and shift swaps for payroll and audit purposes.
• Collaborate with nursing supervisors and HR to develop staffing plans and recruit as needed.
• Respond to scheduling inquiries with professionalism and timeliness.
