Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of Staffing Coordinator experience in a skilled nursing or long-term care setting.
• Strong knowledge of healthcare staffing regulations and scheduling practices.
• Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
• Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Proficiency with scheduling systems, payroll processes, and Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Create and maintain monthly staffing schedules and daily nursing assignments to ensure coverage.
• Monitor and calculate nursing staffing hours to maintain regulatory compliance.
• Collaborate with the Director of Nursing on recruitment, interviewing, hiring, and disciplinary actions.
• Maintain attendance, scheduling, and personnel records.
• Process payroll change notices for new hires, terminations, and leaves of absence.
• Conduct reference checks and employment verifications.
• Maintain a contact database for nursing personnel.
• Follow up with new hires to ensure onboarding requirements and credentials are complete.
• Support staffing reports and workforce planning initiatives.
• Perform additional duties as assigned by leadership.
