Job summary

Avardis Health in Mississippi seeks a Staffing Coordinator to support nursing staff scheduling and admissions coordination.

You will create daily/weekly/monthly schedules, ensure adequate coverage, monitor attendance, and generate reports to help deliver quality resident care, with a focus on efficiency and compassionate service.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate's Degree preferred.
• 1+ year of healthcare staffing coordination experience preferred.
• Prior experience in a healthcare setting (long-term care or medical facility preferred).
• Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to multitask and work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
• Proficiency in scheduling software and Microsoft Office Suite.

Responsibilities

• Create and maintain daily, weekly, and monthly staffing schedules for nurses and CNAs.
• Secure coverage for vacant shifts, vacations, and leave requests.
• Complete daily staffing sheets and track nursing hours to meet PPD requirements.
• Review and verify time clock punches and hours worked.
• Coordinate with Admissions team on census changes and admissions/discharges.
• Prepare and submit daily nursing hours reports to leadership.
• Implement new staffing strategies to improve patient care and efficiency.
