St. Joseph Transitional Rehabilitation Center in Las Vegas is hiring a Director of Staff Development Assistant (DSD Assistant). The role supports staff education, orientation, and learning opportunities to ensure safe, high-quality care. You will monitor nursing activities and participate in infection prevention and control programs.

Qualified candidates have a nursing degree, an active LVN/LPN/RN license in Nevada, and experience with adult learning and long-term care regulations.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years’ experience providing direct care to multiple residents.
• Nursing degree from an accredited college or graduation from an approved LVN/LPN or RN program.
• Current, unencumbered license to practice as an LVN/LPN or RN in the state.
• Knowledge of, or training in, adult learning or previous training experience.
• Must be knowledgeable of nursing practices, procedures, terminology, laws, regulations, and guidelines pertaining to long-term care.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Director of Staff Development (DSD) and the facility with ongoing orientation, educational, and learning opportunities.
• Help staff gain knowledge, skills, and attitudes to perform duties safely and effectively.
• Monitor nursing staff activities to ensure quality care in compliance with state, federal, and corporate standards.
• Participate in infection prevention and control program and contribute to its activities.
