Job summary

Community Health Centers is seeking an SQL Developer to build and optimize Microsoft SQL queries, stored procedures, and database objects to improve system performance. The role reports to the Director of Informatics and works with the Informatics team to design relational databases and generate reports for internal and external customers.

The ideal candidate has a strong SQL Server background, experience with data warehouses, and familiarity with athenaOne/NextGen EHR systems.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or related field or 5 years of professional experience in Microsoft SQL Server.
• Prior experience with data warehouses and importing and cleansing data from different sources is preferred.
• Some understanding of medical terminology and ICD-10 and CPT4 coding is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Develops and maintains complex Microsoft SQL queries, stored procedures, triggers, and database objects for reporting.
• Creates and updates documentation for new and existing processes and Microsoft SQL scripts.
• Helps design relational databases to store and process business data.
• Collaborates with the Informatics team to identify areas for improvement.
• Maintains expertise in athenaOne and NextGen database architecture and workflows.
• Generates routine and ad hoc reports for internal and external customers.
• Monitors and troubleshoots CHC Helpdesk tickets related to software systems.
• Provide quality customer service using AIDET Standards when calling patients.
• Able to work with high volume of patients and adapt to changes.
• Adheres to safety policies and infection control.
• Demonstrates knowledge of domestic violence, child and dependent abuse protocols.
• Demonstrates cultural sensitivity and HIPAA confidentiality.
