Job summary

CareConnectMD, Inc. is seeking a Senior SQL Developer to join our Costa Mesa office. The role emphasizes SQL, Python scripting, data analysis, and data modeling across clinical and claims data, with Power BI reporting from EMR, claims, and external data sources.

The candidate should have 6+ years in healthcare data environments, knowledge of CMS/Value Based Care programs, and be able to work onsite 1–2 days per week as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
• 6+ years of experience with Medicare Shared Savings Program.
• Strong understanding of CCLF claims and EMR data structures.
• Proficiency with back-end technologies such as Node.js, Python, Ruby, Java, or .NET.
• Experience with Power BI in healthcare.

Responsibilities

• Estimate impact with retrospective analyses (LOS, readmissions, mortality, reimbursement).
• Contribute to end-to-end data modeling of clinical and claims data.
• Produce efficient, reusable SQL code to meet business needs.
• Develop, test, and maintain Power BI reports from EMR, claims, and external data.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design new reports and dashboards.
• Create data visualizations to support decision-making.
• Ensure performance, quality, and responsiveness of reporting tools.
• Stay updated on healthcare regulations and HIPAA compliance.
• Participate in code reviews and continuous improvement.
