Job summary

Ivy Tech Community College in Indianapolis is seeking an Adjunct Faculty member to teach Healthcare Specialist courses part-time. You will develop and deliver instruction in alignment with agreed syllabi, monitor attendance, and assess student learning using the College’s standards.

The role involves collaborating with program staff, using Blackboard and other tools, and being available to students outside scheduled class times.

Qualifications

• Possesses earned baccalaureate or higher degree from regionally accredited institution.
• Minimum 2 years directly related healthcare work experience.
• Holds certification or licensure in a health care discipline providing care or service directly to patients.

Responsibilities

• PROGRAM OPERATION: Teach and facilitate student learning in assigned classes; provide syllabus and maintain attendance/grading records.
• STUDENTS: Be available outside class time to answer questions and address concerns, liaise with program coordinator as needed.
• INSTRUCTION: Meet all scheduled classes; utilize Blackboard/PowerPoint; communicate respectfully to diverse learners.

Education

Earned baccalaureate or higher degree from regionally accredited institution

Minimum 2 years directly related healthcare work experience

Licensed Registered Nurse with Indiana license or applicable healthcare licensure
