Job summary

Highmark Health is offering the Summer 2027 Software Engineer enGen Graduate Internship within the DCSS application development team. It provides hands-on experience developing and modernizing enterprise healthcare technology solutions.

The intern will collaborate with software engineers, architects, business analysts, and product owners in an Agile environment, contributing to design, coding, testing, debugging, and documentation while gaining exposure to cloud technologies and DevOps

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree is required.
Pursuit of a graduate degree full or part-time in an accredited college or university.
Currently pursuing a master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, Data Science, or a related technical field.

Responsibilities

Communicate effectively with colleagues, clientele, and internal stakeholders in planning and problem resolution.
Under supervision, provide professional services and receive guidance, training, and mentoring.
Undertake and participate in projects designed to develop professional skills and expertise.
Participate in planning and implementation of unit projects and initiatives within area of expertise.
Conduct research and reporting with recommendations or alternative proposals for action.
Undertake related studies or enrichment programs aligned with objectives of the unit.
Perform miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.
