Job summary

Highmark Health is offering the Summer 2027 Software Engineer enGen Graduate Internship to help graduate students gain hands-on experience in enterprise healthcare technology solutions. The internship sits within the DCSS application development team and focuses on application development, API integrations, and cloud-enabled modernization projects.

Under Agile practices, interns will work with software engineers, architects, business analysts, and product owners across the SDLC, learning modern

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree completed or in progress in a relevant field.
Pursuit of a graduate degree (full- or part-time) in an accredited program.
Master’s degree in CS, SE, IS, Data Science or related field preferred.

Responsibilities

Develop and test application components within enterprise healthcare software.
Support APIs and system integrations in a cloud-enabled environment.
Contribute to modernization efforts and maintain technical documentation.
Collaborate with engineers, architects, business analysts and product owners in an Agile setting.
Participate in solution design, coding, testing, and troubleshooting throughout the SDLC.
