Job summary

The University of Chicago's Simulation Center is seeking a Technology Specialist to manage and maintain medical simulation equipment across the health system. You will support clinical sessions with AV setup, troubleshoot hardware, and ensure accurate scenario readiness to promote safe, effective training.

You will collaborate with faculty and staff, pursue ongoing learning, and participate in quality improvement efforts while traveling to community sites as required.

Qualifications

• A college or university degree in a related field is required.
• 2–5 years of work experience in a related discipline.

Responsibilities

• Operates and maintains simulator technologies ranging from models to full-body simulators.
• Provides technical support and A/V setup during sessions and operational support for simulation software.
• Ensures simulation scenarios are set up with functioning equipment and accurate data collection.
• Performs maintenance and repairs of equipment across the Simulation Center.
• Travels to off-site locations within the UChicago Medicine system as needed.
