Job summary

University of Detroit Mercy seeks a Simulation Instructor and Lab Coordinator to lead the nursing skills laboratory and simulation-based education within the STAR Center. You will oversee lab operations, coordinate scenarios, and support faculty in designing experiences that enhance clinical reasoning and teamwork.

The role requires a BSN and at least 3 years in a clinical setting, with preferred MSN and CHSE.

Qualifications

• Education - BSN; RN license.
• 3 years in a clinical healthcare role or field (equivalent).
• Experience with simulation-based teaching is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day simulation lab activities and scheduling.
• Design and coordinate simulation scenarios aligned with course objectives.
• Collaborate with faculty to integrate simulation into curricula.
• Maintain equipment, safety, and accreditation readiness.
