Job summary

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required; degrees in Criminal Justice or related fields preferred.
• Certifications in Threat Pattern Recognition (TPR) and Non-Violent Crisis Intervention (NVCI) preferred within 1 year.
• 2–3 years of security experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide security at Health System facilities with patrols to ensure safety of patients, visitors and staff.
• Mentor employees on policies and procedures and demonstrate equipment use.
• Monitor doors, alarms and access control systems to safeguard restricted areas.
• Coordinate with supervisors during emergencies and implement disaster plans.
• Escort patients, visitors and valuables as required with documentation.
• Respond to hospital emergencies and maintain a safe environment.
