Job summary

CommonSpirit Health is seeking a Security Officer at CHI Health Immanuel in North Omaha, NE to maintain safety across the hospital campus. You will patrol facilities, monitor alarms, and dispatch officers while upholding hospital codes and patient privacy.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent with healthcare security experience.
• Six months to one year of security officer experience in healthcare.
• One year of security officer experience.

Responsibilities

• Protect staff, patients and visitors by responding to calls for assistance promptly.
• Patrol the facility and grounds by foot or vehicle and dispatch officers as needed.
• Monitor alarms and emergency codes; log incidents clearly and timely.
• Report HIPAA breaches and investigate security incidents; file incident reports.
• Use radios and basic security procedures to coordinate responses across campus.

Job Summary and Responsibilities

As our Security Officer, you will maintain the highest level of safety and security by patrolling assigned areas, diligently deterring, detecting, and investigating suspicious activity or crime.Every day you will effectively monitor electronic surveillance equipment and hospital emergency systems, dispatch appropriate personnel via radio, and actively patrol to protect individuals and property, all while embodying our core values and supporting strategic quality improvement.To be successful in this role, you will demonstrate exceptional vigilance, strong observational skills, proficiency in electronic surveillance and dispatch systems, and a commitment to protecting our community while upholding our organizational values and contributing to a secure environment.

• Protecting staff, patients, and visitors by responding to calls for assistance in a timely and prudent manner. Calls may include incidents such as violent or unruly patients, visitors, crimes committed or in progress, or to emergency codes, and requests for opening doors.
• Patrol the facility and grounds by foot or vehicle; monitor security alarms and dispatch officers promptly to location(s) where needed; and report unsafe acts or conditions.
• Knowledge of emergency procedures, equipment, and supplies, including of radios and hospital codes
• Reports HIPAA breaches if witnessed; investigate security breaches, conducts investigations, and writes incident reports.
• Ensures that l all activities are logged. That incident reports are accurately completed that they are clear, concise, legible, and submitted in a timely manner.
• Use appropriate emergency and radio codes in dispatching security officers while knowing hospital campus to ensure that dispatches are to write location.

Job Requirements

Required

• High School Graduate or equivalent and Six (6) months experience as security officer in a healthcare setting , upon hire or
• Six (6) months experience as security officer in a healthcare setting or
• One (1) year experience as a security officer.
• Driver's License: NE, upon hire and
• Basic Life Support - CPR, within 90 Days
